Graphic Goodies
Hey everybody how was everyone's Thanksgiving? Mine was decent but by God it could have been longer, but enough of that I've got some photoshop goodies to share.
Okay If you remember back during the long hot summer I posted this (on the left) after I saw the movie Prometheus, and by golly this movie was fantastic. I remembered a few weeks that when I found the image of Charlize Theron's character(What a B$#CH she was) I also found the image of Michael Fassbender's character( That crazy son of a B%$CH)(On the Right).
Now I love looking at both of them but the only issue I have is I can never remember how the Hell I did them, It's frustrating not knowing what did I do to get this result.
Out of my list of female actors I find attractive; Emma Watson and Keira Knightley are two of them( A woman with a British dialect is pretty sexy to me).
The notion behind the Watson design was to make it fell like a ad design for a French perfume. Maybe I added some more stuff to it it could stress the idea a little more.
I think this could pass as a little pop art-ish( or at least influenced) right?
Now This photo was taken by this fantastic photographer named Kayleigh June[link]. This is such a stunning photo that I used it to try out something new on PhotoShop. I encourage you to check out her deviant art page[link]

What a week
Last week was an amazing week, I turned 18, school was extremely enjoyable(Less stress, More laughs) and I pretty much partied myself to a frenzy. But most importantly I got a BUTTload of drawings done(YAY).
I've recently been outrageously inspired by this awesome artist named Phil Noto. He has such a great sense of style when it comes to this very detailed, but yet simplified realistic drawings with a vintage aesthetic.
Back on Tuesday I went to Home Goods and as always they had some fantastic paintings that were so pleasing that I had to take some sketches of them(luckily this sketch book is small enough for me to bare carrying inside).
Because in Lit class we've finally finished our summer reading essays, we got to chill out and watch this movie called "First Knight" starring Richard Gere("Pretty Woman") and Sean Connery(You should know who he is). So far this movie is pretty good, I've always been enchanted(see what I did there?) with the whole Knights of the Round tales and all the cool ass armor they wore so during the movie I did this sketch based off of King Arthur's armor.
While I was scrambling with ideas for my next assignment in art, I remembered how much I love the "Tree of Life" that I decided to use one of the scenes as a reference Also I've been trying out the whole black bar wide screen thing to give it more of a cinematic feel.
Finally after going to this football game I stayed over a friends house and I started working on this little thing.
I say she is some kind of Shaman women because of the look of her face so I added some smoke behind her to give it the mystic ceremony thing going on.
So that's it for me so until next time.

The 18th Birthday
Today I offically turned 18, no longer a young teen, but now a young adult. It's so werid, I think back how a year ago I posted I was 17 on this very blog. Thinking about what happens next is equally exciting as hell and scary as shit, but we shall see what happens. I'll be posting some stuff this Friday and Saturday, I have alot of good stuff to post.
Hope You Enjoy

I think this is a rant?
Ok so this year we have a new art teacher for our art class and It's safe to say after 3 months I STRONGLY DISLIKE HIM. My problem with him is that he doesn't teach anything, I feel so abandon when it comes to the student teacher relationship. There is no guidance from him and when he does "instruct" I just dread the moment, it's just "you're doing this wrong" or "you do it this way" with no clear direction as to how(You get the idea?). This happened last week, I turned in this project for class and he starts telling me all the things that are wrong with it and starts telling me what I should have done. Now I'm not going to say I'm extremely proud of it because I'm not, it's OK(Looked much better before it got colored(Pastel Chalk is hard to use)). The main issue I had was him critiquing my choice of colors.

This super crappy Batgirl sketch(I'm so not lovin the bats)
Hope You Enjoy!
This super crappy Batgirl sketch(I'm so not lovin the bats)
A little idea I thought of during my time in Tennessee, doing a series of drawings inspired by 60's and 70's fashion. I think this could be a fun little project since I'm fascinated with these two time periods.
Now this was my first finished portrait(I know there are plenty of things wrong with her/him(I have no idea if it's a girl or guy),but I like the finished product) for AP Drawing and I love the people in my class, but I can't stand the new art teacher(I really dislike the guy).Hope You Enjoy!

Last Minute
Hey everybody, just so I don't go into a new month with just one post for September, i'm posting some stuff from my graphic design class I did last year. The assignment was to design a poster for a movie; any movie, so I did this movie called "The Tree of Life" written and directed by Terrence Malick. At the time I never saw the actual movie only the trailer and from reading all the reviews and comments, you either loved it or hated it, absolutely no grey area, which made me want to do this movie(Didn't see it till July and It was fantastic).
After watching the trailer, the initial impression I had was visually surreal. The camera work, the quality, the score, the effects, the cast; everything about this movie just seem liked It was going to win a damn Oscar(During the time I was working on this it was Oscar season and this movie didn't win)
So my approach to this was to make it visually appealing
I'm so proud of how this came out, just looking at it I thought the visual surreal quality was prevalent, but just to be on the safe side I did another design using Jessica Chastain, whose character represents grace
Now this design wasn't very good to me(more like an old photo), but it was almost there so with a few more tweaks I produced
This was the final design set for the overall poster( everyone seemed to like this design just abit more than the 1st one).
Hope You Enjoy

Got the BLUES
Really overwhelmed by this whole college process. So much to do and so little time; there's so much happening all at once and I need it to just slow down a little. I really need a place where I'm alone and just let my thoughts roam. God I can't wait till this is over. Sorry to dump all this on here, I just needed to write something.

Happy Summer Dump!
Well first off let me say Hello! How was everyone's summer vacation? I had a pretty decent one, went to see some movies(Ted, Prometheus, Avengers, and THE DARK KNIGHT RISES), got so much needed rest(Oh how I miss it) went out of town to Tennessee(that little adventure is a completely different post I'll get to) and most importantly I DREW YAY!!!! Now before you click on the "Read More" let me say sorry for the complete desertion on my part, after working so hard on projects and finals I was pretty much wiped out, so this summer was devoted to chilling out and just drawing for the sake of it. I planned on posting this last week, but last week was my first week as a SENIOR(OH YEAH!! WORD TO YA MUTHA) and that was hectic as hell so yeah......Here's a boat load of drawings I did during the summer
So this summer I had this unbelievable crush on this actor, Emmy Rossum. Oh my God she is Beautiful, a beautiful smile, beautiful Face, beautiful voice I just had to draw her. If you have no idea who she is (like I did) watch this show called "Shameless".
These where also done in Tennessee, but I used this book called "The Artist's Complete Guide to Drawing the Head" a wonderful book for different head shapes and shading. After I saw "The Dark Knight Rises"(Watch it DAMN IT) I had to draw something to get my Batman GEEKINESS out of me.
Hope You Enjoy!

These are some color pencil study drawing I did because I have such a hate for them that I need to improve on.
As you can see I like Power Rangers(There's not much to say..... except Samurai Sucks alot)
I was so excited to see Prometheus that I ended up doing some alien/ Sci-Fi related stuff
Funny that I drew this on July 4, the same day I saw Prometheus, but any way a whole lot of nothing mainly a Catwomanish drawing done in ink.
I love how the woman's face came out cause I was in a moving truck when I did this listening to the "Exodus" album by Utada, the structure above was somewhere near the airport that I tried to draw, and the faceless model was done the day before my Senior photo shoot for the year book.
Hope You Enjoy!

Last Day Of School
OH my goodness, I can't believe I just experienced my VERY LAST DAY as an 11th grade Junior in high school. I'm so freakin happy I don't have to worry about doing chemistry ever again in my life. It's hard to believe that the very first week of this school year I created this little blog of mine and I'm still bloggin away. This school year; I must say felt like it was very challenging and yet equally gratifying when it came to my creative and artistic growth. I ventured out of my comfort zone and experimented with mediums I found comfortably fitting to my creative process and others I despise with such passion but still want to improve on. Also this year I've managed to forge some pretty interesting friendships with some crazy and talented people I'm glad to have met. My plans for this summer is to A.) Get a Job, B.) Get Kingdom Hearts Dream Drop Distance, C.) Try experimenting with Paint(oh god), D.) Do more realistic colored drawings and finally D1/2.) Go to the Rising Star Program at SCAD hopefully( if I ever find out If I got accepted). We'll I'm about to take a much needed nap so I'll post some stuff later.
Hope You Enjoy!

Almost Over
Man I'm so freakin glad that it's almost the end of the school year YYYYYYEEEEAAAAHHHH. BUT the only thing I hate about it is all the work and tests we have to do, LAME. Plus I still need to do my community service for my club. The only TEST I'm excited for( the only one I'll ever be excited for) is my art class final, we're doing this design challenge type thing were we go up against someone in the class and do an artwork only using the medium chosen by the teacher(ours was color pencil). I have a pretty strong idea on what I want to do but I have to finish some other assignment before I work on that.
How did everyone spend The 5TH of May, go to some party, watch some Avengers action well me, I woke up at 6:38 and went to take my SAT yeah:( . Such a horrible waste of a Saturday morning I could've been sleeping , the good part of it was I got to see some old friends and later went to Free Comic Book Day at a comic book shop( the same one I talked about back in October) close by. I must say I was pretty cool being in there what surprised me the most was the fact there were younger kids there. Well I got to get going need to finish this insane amount of school work.
Hope You Enjoy

Confetti
This was one of the pieces I submitted in my Rising Star portfolio, first the title was "Neon" but after awhile the colors reminded me of confetti and the name just stuck.

Back on the Horse
Well last month wasn't very productive and I apologize for my lack of activity, I've been in a creative funk and it's hard getting the juices flowing when you have no motivational fire going( in this case under my ass), but now I do. So as you know SCAD( Savannah College of Art and Design) Is my planned college to study animation, and for the past week I've attempted to create a portfolio for the Rising Star Program which is a five week summer program at the Savannah location were you take classes and get the college experience. So far I haven't been successful at completing a thing; with Spring Break and my allergic reaction not sure that's going to happen any time soon. I did manage to get a few drawings done and by few I mean a failed attempt at a self-portrait, a failed pastel chalk portrait and a half done concept drawing; sounds a little productive right? Well anyway I'll try my darndest this month to update this blog on a regular basis. Can't believe this school year is almost done for, time sure does fly by huh? Hope you Enjoy and Happy Easter!

Nu52Nightwing Finally
Well this guy was a pain in the a$$, started this back in November of last year and doing the buildings was a bit hard to do because I usually don't add buildings to my drawings, but that has changed since I've done this. The drawing was inspired by these dudes in monkey suits "hanging" around on some building in England. Now that the whole Nu52 thing is done with does anyone have any idea on what I should do now? I have a couple of ideas, but I'll elaborate on that some more next time.
Hope You Enjoy

President's Day
How's everyone enjoying President's Day? Well let me get started on the SCAD Day thing that happen almost a month ago, The experience was amazing I was just amazed at what the school had to offer like the classes especially the animation class. Man I was blown away; being able to actually see drawings done by Glen Keane (if you don't know who that is then Google him) was great. All was going well until I went to the portfolio review meeting, that's when my heart went into my stomach.

Can't Wait
Man I'm so excited for today. Later today I'm going to the Savannah College of Art and Design in Atlanta for SCAD Day! This has been on my mind for the last week and finally it's here. There's going to be all sorts of stuff like tours, financial aid stuff and a portfolio review thing( that's the part I'm really nervous and excited about, finally pulled out my new portfolio that I bought back in July) and if I remember right there's some drawing sessions happening too. I got to go to bed so later today I will post how everything turned out. Wish me luck.

Year of The Dragon
Well it's the Chinese New Years and I wanted to celebrate it in a way. His Names..... Rango.
I know not exactly a dragon, but he is a reptile! It's sad that I've never watched the movie and yet the movie is on my nightstand? OK now is it just me or does Rango look like the raptor from Jurassic Park?
Hope you Enjoy!

Happy New Years!!!
Happy New Years everybody, The first post of 2012! Hope everyone had a great holiday and having a great new year so far. My holiday was pretty good, still enjoying my vacation and got some nice gifts. So before I talk about anything else let me talk about my absence during November and most of December. Well first back in November I was assigned to read "The Scarlet Letter" for my Lit Class and it took me until around Thanksgiving to finish that. That book WAS SO FREAKING BORING, honestly what is so interesting about it? It took so much of my will power to not to fall asleep. Once we came back from that break It was time to focus on Mid-Terms and that took most of my concentration.
