I love movies. It's that time of the year again, Oscars NIGHT! Again posting a list of all movies(old or new) I saw in the year 2015 that I consider great cinematic master pieces and that you should take a look at.
So the moment I got back from school I was messing around with my camera & eventually taking a bunch of pictures and recordings of myself(yes I'm a vain person, but that's not the point).
If you don't know one of my new favorite shows is The Knick on Cinemax and it is amazing ,but one of my favorite parts of watching it is the countdown sequence Cinemax does right before the episode starts. It creates so much tension and anticipation for the show and that was the sorta kinda idea I had for this little video I did.
My main problem with this is that it's too damn short. That was the idea because I wanted to make this long enough for Instagram(which is stupid now I think about it), but jeez I just wish it was maybe 30 seconds instead of 15. I like what I have like the color correcting, text timing to the music and the slow mo thing going on, but I just want more( well maybe next time).
I know I've been gone for a bit without any substantial posts but I have some more free time now that I'm on break so expect some more good stuff coming until Happy Thanksgiving and as all ways
I love movies. Movies have had such an enormous influence on my life and with the Oscars about to air I thought it was appropriate to post this little number; a list of all movies(old or new) I saw in the year 2012 that I consider great cinematic master pieces.

And Heres some more pics from the secret project I'M STILL working on
I really haven't posted much concerning my art class( to much drama to take from that teacher) in the last few months so I've decided to start posting more from the class and to start it off here're some pieces I did last semester.
Inspired by “Conspiracy of Silence” By Agnes Cecile. I wanted her crying while looking borderline broken in the rain.
Heavily inspired by a piece called “Against Odds”. I really loved the whimsical aspect of it and it's an element I wanted to have in my piece, but with more bright & colorful.
I approached this piece with something cinematic; to get the idea across I colored the top and bottom black to give it a widescreen appearance. Heavily inspired by the idea of grace from the movie “The Tree of Life”. I wanted the hand to look graceful because the mother(Jessica Chastain better win a damn Oscar) in the movie embodies grace.
Influenced by a photo of actress, Golshifteh Farahani(HIGHLY attractive woman). Her expression was calm and poised and yet sad; what I wanted to do was capture that same essence of beauty and sadness.
Also this semester in Art me and my other classmate are starting to work on the section of our portfolio called a Concentration(12 pieces focused on a certain theme) and I've taken the liberty to tackle visual interpretations of the album "Exodus" by Utada Hikaru(you must know by now how much I love this woman). It's going to be a very amusing project so I'll be posting all the work in progress drawings as the project progresses(Lets hope they come out great).
Hey everybody, just so I don't go into a new month with just one post for September, i'm posting some stuff from my graphic design class I did last year. The assignment was to design a poster for a movie; any movie, so I did this movie called "The Tree of Life" written and directed by Terrence Malick. At the time I never saw the actual movie only the trailer and from reading all the reviews and comments, you either loved it or hated it, absolutely no grey area, which made me want to do this movie(Didn't see it till July and It was fantastic).
After watching the trailer, the initial impression I had was visually surreal. The camera work, the quality, the score, the effects, the cast; everything about this movie just seem liked It was going to win a damn Oscar(During the time I was working on this it was Oscar season and this movie didn't win)
So my approach to this was to make it visually appealing
I'm so proud of how this came out, just looking at it I thought the visual surreal quality was prevalent, but just to be on the safe side I did another design using Jessica Chastain, whose character represents grace
Now this design wasn't very good to me(more like an old photo), but it was almost there so with a few more tweaks I produced
This was the final design set for the overall poster( everyone seemed to like this design just abit more than the 1st one).
Personally I think I did a great job, and I'm proud of what was produced; so as always
