Last Drawing 4 2017

Lately I've been really busy doing a gang load of other things other than drawing( Damn Adulting). It kills me inside every time I let the opportunity to draw something pass on, but sometimes I just don't feel like putting in so much time on a drawing with a gang load of details( damn you my detailed drawing style). As of earlier this morning (4oclock in the morning) I done drawing in these little frames I drew out in a page and started filling in the space.

I'm really diggin the way these are turning out. Yeah sure a couple of these aren't my best display of my awesome drawing skills( Speaking truth not being that much vain), but it does allow me to draw a lot more in less time and really explore different views and play around with the space available to me.

 

Next year I'm going to be doing more of these so stay around for that(if anyone even reads this)

Did this one right after I saw Batman:Bad Blood(Good movie; Better than Batman vs Robin). Took inspiration from the Batman Year One cover by David Mazzucchelli. I really need to make these drawings a lot darker so you can see the little details.

I'M BACK!!!

   SO happy to finally have time for my blog again(I didn't abandon you baby I promise). I'm finally out of school for the summer and I have over two months to get some cool shit done. Expect some regular content soon and maybe some heavy opinionated rants( I'm looking at you DC). Until then enjoy another storyboard.

Storyboard Time

A few months back I was in a Storyboard class and part of the whole thing wasthat we had to carry this big ass 11 by 14 sketchbook and draw 16:9 ratio storyboard panels ( I'm positive there's an easier way to explain that). Out of the 75 pages I did I only liked 50 of them and this is one of them. I think I was looking at one of Robert Valley's books when I had the idea to draw this guy.

Kool Aid-Storyboards: Oh YEAH!!!

      Well as the title suggests this is all about an assignment I did for my storyboarding class that involved drawing a Kool Aid commercial.  Now this was our very first storyboard assignment but our 6th assignment in the class. Most of the prior projects were all perspective assignments and a couple of figure stuff so getting on this wasn't too bad at first knowing that my skills in perspective had gotten better.

I am crazy proud of how this came out because besides having to work from a script I had so much creative reign over this. The look for the moms were inspired by Joan Cusack from Shameless & Wendi McLendon- Covey look on the Goldbergs.  The only thing that was not my favorite part was using greytone markers; you can't erase mistakes with markers, but the colors give the boards a little oomph.
