1st post of the new year! Lots of things in the works, so if you've been following me then you're really going to love what's next.

Unda Da Sea

I like how this came out. I usually don't draw Disney stuff but after looking at Lauren Montgomery's old drawings on her blog I got inspired to see how my style as of now would translate for Ariel and I like what I see. The whole Iidea of someone falling in love with a person only after 3 day (in some cases less) and going off into the sunset is insane.

HIGHLY ANIMATED ON VIMEO!!!

I finally did it, finally made myself a Vimeo account and uploaded a shitload of projects I was working on these past 10 weeks going from animation to film.

So go there and check out all the projects. https://vimeo.com/highlyanimated

First New Year Drawing!

1st NEW DRAWING OF THE YEAR(YAY)!!! So it has been a whole year since I started the 365 sketchbook & I'm Fu*%ing glade that's over with. So as I said before in the GraphicArts post; this year i'll be posting more drawings and other artwork like this that will have more thought and effort put into it along with stuff happening at school.
The idea for this drawing started with just drawing the lovely lady in the one piece outfit, but after watching Homeland I eventually did a  street ally background that could be in Islamabad(hopefully) . The design was inspired by the new Gwen Stacy Spider Woman costume & I think it came out great especially the leading ladies face( not to girly & a killer hair cut).

I think the only things I would work on are making the lines a tad bit more darker and adding more value, but other than that I did an amazing drawing. So until later

Influence Some Spark

How's it been everybody and welcome back to Highly Animated 2013( YAY!!!), and to start off the FIRST POST of the Year(Excluding the last two) I wanted to talk about INFLUENCES. For I awhile now I've had this overwhelming feeling that I've lost "MY STUFF". The stuff that inspired me to draw things that I wanted to draw not things that my pretentious art teacher wants me to draw or including pieces that colleges want to see in my portfolio; it feels like I'm drawing for everyone except the person I want to draw for( Can you guess who that is?). Just a couple of weeks ago I couldn't even remember how to draw something that I've drawn so many times; I swear my skills are just regressing.

A way I thought could help me reconnect with all things inspirational to me was doing this little number called an "Influence Map"

If you have a Deviant Art account than you already know what this is but for the little lads&lassies who don't this is a meme created by fox-orian and it's a great exercise to enlighten yourself about..well you. There are plenty of things that inspire me, but this is just a fraction of influences; so lets start down the list(in no particular order):

1.) Tetsuya Nomura

2.) Brett Booth

3.) Loish Van Baarle

4.) Chris Sanders

5.) Andrew Hem

6.) Utada Hikaru

7.) Ben Caldwell

8.) Dustin Nguyen

9.) Glen Keane

10.) Film Directors

11.) Kenneth Rocafort

Because there are many reasons why I love each of these people I'm going to do some posts completely dedicated to each artist and why I love them ( be expecting that soon).

Check out their art, tell me what you think and last but not least

Hope You Enjoy
