Sup everybody my birthday is in 14 day!(Just so you know) Anyway here's something new & interesting.
The tittle came from an Utada lyric from Tippy Toe. I like where this went, Colored the hair with pastel chalk(something I haven't used in a minute) and some color pencils. Took a minute for me to get used to the hair color but I got use to it.
Hope You Enjoy
14 Days Til My Birthday
Had an opportunity to attend a workshop by super artist Sanford Greene last Saturday and it was great. Thank you to my amazing teacher Mrs.Baynes for inviting me and giving me a reason to go back to McEachern High School
Used the old Flash drawing from what 2011(Shit this drawing is old)? Trying to learn how to color digitally ( really color in general) it's such a long as process trying to understand this and the Bamboo tablet i'm using to color.
So here's something I've been working on for a couple of days. Took around 8 hours in total to draw her(scanner could only get her head) and maybe 3 hours putting the Photoshop on it. I like what I have here but I feel something's missing( but what). Anyway Happy 4th of July!
Hope You Enjoy!
GOOD GOD!!! This took forever to edit(This is one of the fucked up parts about having a computer screen that makes everything look brighter than it is!).
In an effort to make my shizznit look "prettier" and not being that great as a colorist( Strike that who the hell am I fooling I suck at it) I'm playing to my strengths & trying to present artwork that has more visual flare to it.
It's almost the end of the 365 sketchbook & thank God that's almost over(doing theses sketches along with the sketches done this past semester in school has depleted me of all life ), so officially starting 2015 I'm posting more drawings and other artwork like this that will have more thought and effort put into it & also I'll be posting more stuff from school because starting this January I'll be in my 1st ANIMATION CLASS(Huzza!)!!! As always
I have a huge issue with the restaurant O'Charley's , now I've always loved the food and it's been awhile since I've been there so it was a huge ass shock( and I say that very lightly) when I was up in Tennessee and saw an O'Charley's with this disgusting logo blaring on the top of the building.
What a hideous looking logo & I truly thought that was the last time I would ever see it, but sadly I saw a recent O'Charley's commercial using this exact logo instead of this
Now I don't know what the hell those people over there are smoking( and it must be some good Shizznit) ,but I cant register how they can go from nice classy script font that they've been using for years to an unmitigated lackluster san serif font( sorry busting out some graphic design terms(thanks Mrs.Baynes)).
Happy Holiday folks! I've got something special for you guys, wanna guess what it is( just read the title)..... yep you guessed it GRAPHIC GOODIESSSSS!!!! It's been awhile since I've had anything graphic related and since I've been on break I realized there some stuff I did almost a year ago that I never posted( what a shame). Well folks here some magic.
Top one is a design I did for a contest and the goal was to design a poster for a fictional event. I wanted the design to be simple and clean, but yet somewhat dramatic. I think the green on black look really makes the design pop and the floral brushes I used gave it a nice touch of nature. The image in the center is a photo of my soon to be future ex-wife, Emmy Rossum(Mmmmm that woman).
What I love most about playing around in Photoshop is all the cool ass design tricks I end up making up. For example these three are all products of a design process I've made up & I'm lovin how smoothly rendered they come out lookin.
Gotta show that (Deep River) Utada Love. This was the first image I used when I started to experiment.
As of 10:45A.M. I left MCEACHERN High School as a honors graduate with a GPA of 3.859(6 A's, 2 B's) class rank of 49 out of 520 and a SEXY ASS TAN. This last school year has been one of the most eventful of school years both personally and creatively; I've met people who have supported and encourage me and people who've tried to break and conform me into something I'm not. I've achieved goals that I worked hard for since 8th grade and made failures that I'm happy I made during 12th grade. Even though I'm happy my ass is out of that crazy school I'd be lying if I said I wasn't going to miss some people from that school. I had such an amazing time in Theater class(Loved both my teacher and class) my Calculus class(Lot of memories in there) and last, but not least my Graphic Design class( best 4 years of high school). So getting past all the sentimental stuff my Plans for this Summer is A.) Get a J.O.B., B.) Enjoy the Summer and Live, and Finally C.) DRAW. Hope You Enjoy Long Live Class Of 2013
Hey everybody how was everyone's Thanksgiving? Mine was decent but by God it could have been longer, but enough of that I've got some photoshop goodies to share.
Okay If you remember back during the long hot summer I posted this (on the left) after I saw the movie Prometheus, and by golly this movie was fantastic. I remembered a few weeks that when I found the image of Charlize Theron's character(What a B$#CH she was) I also found the image of Michael Fassbender's character( That crazy son of a B%$CH)(On the Right).
Now I love looking at both of them but the only issue I have is I can never remember how the Hell I did them, It's frustrating not knowing what did I do to get this result.
Out of my list of female actors I find attractive; Emma Watson and Keira Knightley are two of them( A woman with a British dialect is pretty sexy to me).
The notion behind the Watson design was to make it fell like a ad design for a French perfume. Maybe I added some more stuff to it it could stress the idea a little more.
I think this could pass as a little pop art-ish( or at least influenced) right?
Now This photo was taken by this fantastic photographer named Kayleigh June[link]. This is such a stunning photo that I used it to try out something new on PhotoShop. I encourage you to check out her deviant art page[link]
Hey everybody, just so I don't go into a new month with just one post for September, i'm posting some stuff from my graphic design class I did last year. The assignment was to design a poster for a movie; any movie, so I did this movie called "The Tree of Life" written and directed by Terrence Malick. At the time I never saw the actual movie only the trailer and from reading all the reviews and comments, you either loved it or hated it, absolutely no grey area, which made me want to do this movie(Didn't see it till July and It was fantastic).
After watching the trailer, the initial impression I had was visually surreal. The camera work, the quality, the score, the effects, the cast; everything about this movie just seem liked It was going to win a damn Oscar(During the time I was working on this it was Oscar season and this movie didn't win)
So my approach to this was to make it visually appealing
I'm so proud of how this came out, just looking at it I thought the visual surreal quality was prevalent, but just to be on the safe side I did another design using Jessica Chastain, whose character represents grace
Now this design wasn't very good to me(more like an old photo), but it was almost there so with a few more tweaks I produced
This was the final design set for the overall poster( everyone seemed to like this design just abit more than the 1st one).
Personally I think I did a great job, and I'm proud of what was produced; so as always
